backstage at the beat
Actually we're not backstage at all, this is just what the Beat Club in Utsunomiya looks like! This is where Saturday night's Mr. Tochigi Pageant was held. This year's winner, Joe, clinched the title by tearing off velcro-sided pants and underwear to reveal NOTHING!
...other than a tube sock with a red bow. But it's much more scandalous if you think he actually went Fully Monty, right?!
The lovely Li Li on the left here organised the event, all to raise money for Habitat for Humanity.

Nope, just something for the ladies. If there was a Ms. Tochigi it would be labelled as sexist and objectifying of women, but a Mr. Tochigi pageant is fun and progressive. Funny that!
Actually I'd probably be one of the disgusted labellers at a Ms. Tochigi pageant. Unless of course I won the pageant, in which case I'd like to point out that I did it all for charity, and that lipsyncing IS a 'talent' thank you very much! ;)
Li Li, your laughing is a talent. But wait, maybe it's a disease - because it's infectious.
